This recommendation is for Garry, one of the Property and Casualty Insurance Broker Pre-Licensing course instructors. He kept class interesting and fun and almost my whole class passed the exam the first time. He really seemed to care about his students and their comprehension of the material as opposed to just drilling the correct answers into us.

At the time of writing this, I am about 75% done with my classes at REEDC and I am having such a great time that I felt compelled to write a review.
The instructor is very knowledgeable, funny and engaging. When you are there, you genuinely follow the material because it is taught so well.

I have just finished my course and exam here. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! There is a great concern and devotion on the part of everyone there that your experience is positive and you are happy with your learning. Most impressive was the incredible effort put towards job placement, recruiting, and real world networking.

The Property Casualty Insurance course was taught by Garry Smalley, a great instructor who engaged the class and made the whole experience worthwhile. Believe it or not, I remember laughing a few times in the class from some of the stories. I just got my license today! Passed on my first try, the course was more then enough if you are willing to study 1-2 hours a few nights a week

Just finished two weeks of classes, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The teacher, Greg is very impressive, having been in the field, and is a wealth of knowledge. He always has time to answer my many questions. I live in Brooklyn, and work in Manhattan, and if I don’t feel like coming into NY on weekends, I can go to their Brooklyn office, which works out well for me.

Yes. REEDC’s online courses are state-approved and delivered through our online education partner, so the credits count toward New York licensing and continuing education the same way our in-person classes do. You get the flexibility of studying online without giving up the approval and recognition that matter when it’s time to get licensed or renew.
Online self-study is available across real estate, appraisal, and home inspection, covering licensing courses, continuing education, and exam prep. Some programs (like our in-person seminars and certain classroom sessions) are offered live rather than online, so it’s worth checking the specific course. The online directory lets you filter by state and profession to find exactly what you need.
Online self-study lets you move through the coursework at your own pace, on your own schedule, from any device. There are no fixed class times — you can start when you’re ready, pause whenever you need to, and pick back up where you left off. It’s designed for students who’d rather learn independently than attend a scheduled class.
No. REEDC’s licensing courses are built for newcomers and assume no prior background in the field; you’ll learn everything you need from the ground up. Continuing education courses are intended for professionals who are already licensed and looking to renew or expand their credentials.
Online courses let you start right away — once you register, you can begin immediately, with no need to wait for the next scheduled class date. That’s one of the biggest advantages of self-study: you set the timeline, so you can move as quickly or as gradually as your schedule allows.
