Garry Smalley
A native Brooklynite, Garry attended Virginia State University where he graduated with honors with a degree in Economics and Finance. Garry began his career in 2004 at GEICO Insurance Company, where he was a top performer selling insurance. His hard work and dedication awarded him rapid promotion to GEICO’s Affinity Program Division allowing him to build strong relationships with decision-makers within large insurance and financial institutions, associations and credit unions. Within twelve months, Garry closed one of the most prestigious insurance deals recorded in GEICO’s history. In 2012 Garry started Garry Smalley Consulting (GSC), primarily focused on business development, strategic advising, relationship building and insurance sales. Garry is a New York State Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Broker.
Garry became part of the REEDC family in 2013 as an instructor for Property and Casualty Insurance Licensing and Continuing Education courses. His teaching style showcases his entrepreneurial spirit and industry proficiency. He uses situational explanations to assist with the development of his lessons, enabling his students to confidently grasp insurance concepts while having fun learning.
