1. What is the advantage of the Bus Tour over the class room training? With the bus tour you’re getting hands on experience in the field.  You will go through the entire inspection process of a few REO Properties.  You will see examples of what to do, and just as importantly, what not to do.  Additionally, you’ll have direct access to Ted Weinstein.   Every successful person has had a mentor to show them the “ropes.”  With Ted, you’re getting an REO Broker with over 30 years of experience.  Reo Brokers are dedicated solely to the listing and selling of bank owned properties.  If you’re serious about getting started in REO properties there isn’t a better way to get into investing then starting off with a mentor in the field.
  2. Who leads the tour? Ted Weinstein.  For the past thirty years, Ted Weinstein has been involved in the foreclosure process and the real estate it generates. Operating as either principal or agent, Mr. Weinstein has repositioned over 1,000 distressed properties/non-performing notes with a total value in excess of $100,000,000. As an active New York REO broker, Mr. Weinstein currently manages the preservation and sale of Bank Owned real estate for several major financial institutions. In addition to his current REO, Short Sale and BPO brokerage activities, Mr. Weinstein teaches Continuing Education courses and speaks at various Real Estate conferences often as either Keynote speaker or Panelist.
  3. What if I don’t have perfect credit? You don’t need perfect credit to go on this.  In fact, you don’t even need decent credit.  We understand getting financing is very difficult.  What we’ll do on this tour is teach you creative ways to get financing and how to think outside the box when investing.
  4. Do I need prior real estate experience?  There is no prior real estate experience needed.  All we ask for is people who are serious about making more money and are looking to invest in themselves.
  5. What is the advantage of a group setting? With a group you’ll be surrounded with like minded individuals, who are all looking to learn more about investing.  Additionally, it is a great networking opportunity as you may find potential business partners.
  6. What sort of individual will be part of the group?  The tour will be filled with individuals who are either currently involved in REO properties or people who are looking to invest in them.  In other words, if you’re serious about investing in REO properties this tour is a must.  You will have access to property managers, closing agents, attorneys, home inspectors and renovation specialists among others.
  7. What if I see a property I want to purchase?  We encourage people to put offers down if they see properties they like.   You will have access to hard money lenders as well as conventional lenders to assist in financing should you decide to put an offer down.
  8. Where are you getting your properties from?   We get these properties from the Bank.  As a Reo Broker, Ted has access to properties that are not available to the public.  Part of the tour includes learning how to access these properties.
  9. Does this count for Continuing Education?  Yes & No.  The tour itself does not count for continuing education.  But, when you signing up for the tour you also receive access to Selling Real Estate in a Foreclosure Driven Markets for free which counts for 22.5 hours of C.E.
  10. How do I sign up and reserve my seat?  To sign up call 212-465-1008 x405  and ask for Paul or email PReisner@reed.com
