The Registered in Apartment Management (RAM) program is a comprehensive education and professional designation program offered by the National Associated Builders and Owners (NABO). The RAM designation is recognized nationwide for its broad and wide-ranging training in preparation for the management of multi-family housing. The training is designed to provide the student with a complete understanding of and application of the tools inherent in effective property management.

Those who take this course, certified by the National Associated Builders and Owners (NABO) have the opportunity to obtain a nationally-recognized real estate certification.

Those who have successfully completed the RAM designation requirements are fully prepared to integrate the knowledge gained from the course curriculum into a heightened level of skill and a greater degree of professionalism in the various aspects of property operations, including administrative and financial management, marketing, resident services, maintenance, fair housing and security.

RAM graduates are recognized for their superior training and skill achievement. Building owners, condominium and cooperative boards, management firms and local municipal and other governmental regulatory agencies recognize the knowledge and commitment intrinsic in RAM training. These and other agencies and firms are continuously seeking qualified individuals to staff key positions within the firm to ensure efficient operation.

The RAM designation demonstrates this level of achievement to existing and potential employers. This course satisfies the NYS Department of State 22.5-hour continuing education requirement for licensed real estate professionals. Students interested in pursuing the RAM designation offered by NABO must:

• pass the national exam with a score of 70% or higher
• have two years multi-family housing management experience
• complete a RAM Professional Profile with a minimum of 300 points
